a day at hostel!

After getting bugged for about a month at home m realisin tat at hostel a day passes by so quickly tat we don’t even realize it!

A day at hostel would be something like this :

7:30 am ----- wake up n rush to the toilet to get ready

8:05-run to the class empty stomach… mess closes at 8
N the class starts at 8

8:10--- reach class… sometimes a lil later too
Get a stare frm the teacher …. Sometimes a comment on punctuality…. N sometimes thrown out of the class

10 am: its pretty tough to sit empty stomach for two hours …. Tat too in front of some borin fucked up teachers
At 10 we rush to the canteen …. We= sandesh n me …hes my partner in crime :)

We usually finish eatin by 10:20….. then we make our way to the back gate n ve a fag

10:30 am : we have a look at the timetable n try to convince each other y it is better to bunk the class…. N most of the time we get convinced …lol

11:30 am-attend class for attendance sake

12:30: meet up with friends of other branches….. chek out gals n then back gate again

1pm: enter mess …. Look at the disgustin food n eat a little bit of it

1:30: sit in one of our friends room n talk shit

2 pm:again a tough decision to go to class o not

3: wake up if we bunked the previous clas n rush to the next class
N if by chance we attended the class at 2… we continue sittin as this is the last period most of the days

4pm : go to hostel

Freshen up
5:its time to play basket ball!!!!!!!! The best part of the day

7pm: backgate for u knw wat…. Then to the mess somedays
Most of the days we have dinner outside

8 p,m: back to hostel….
We find some1’s lappy n then its time to play counter strike on LAN
Somedays we watch movie

10 or 11 pm: movie or gaming ends…. Time to sit in some1s room n talk shit again

1 am:sleep

As u can see I ve not mentioned study time anywhere : )
Coz it happens on the night before the exam

INDIA @ OLYMPICS

India won its first medal at the beijing olympics 2008 today in the men's 10 m air rifle event . the indian representative was abhinav bindra who scored 700.5 winning the event ahead of the chinese and the finnish who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively. It was a proud moment for all the indians as this was india's 1st gold medal in the olympics after 1980!!!!!
The Indians will bask in the glory of this gold medal and maybe one or two more medals which india might win at this olympics but no one really tries to improve the situation of sports in india .... why does a country havin such a huge population and such immense talent win only one or two medals at every olympics! even the islanders Newzealand manages to win more medals than us ....
The problem mainly lies in the people who head the socities ... there is corruption everywher and people try to make the maximum amount of money that they can... so half of the money provided for the development of teh sports ends up in some1's pocket.... India which was the hockey champion and won eight gold medals at the olympics failed to even qualify this time ... such is the situation of indian hockey which is also our national sport ... the IHF head gill has led the hockey from a position as high as mount everest to a low like marina trench...
another problem in india is the popularity of cricket! ... any cricketer becomes a hero by takin a single wicket or even by scoring a half century .. whereas other sportsmen slog it out all their lives and are still unknown in the country...
the highest ranked tennis player in the men's section is ranked at 200 odd .... certainly there is enough talent in india tat we should have atleast 2-3 players in teh top 100!
indian football team is ranked 165 in the world!
the olympic medal winner rathore has to fund himself to go out of country for any tourney!

actually we can go on about all sports except cricket and we will see the sorry state they are in right now...

we should all try to promote sports in one way or the other... one of teh most effective way maybe by choosing correct leaders who are not corrupt and work towards the improvement of the country!
hopefully one day we'll be leading the medal's tally at olympics and tat will be teh day tat every indian will be proud of their land and mother nation :)

' I'm just sittin in my car and waitin for my girl ' this line is frm a 'system of a down song' ... it can be slightly modified to express my current situation...'i'm just sittin in my room and getting bugged' :)
wat ll be ur initial reaction if u hear tat u r getting a vacation of 70 days .... obviously u ll be like "amazing , kick ass " but the truth is tat almost every student will start getting bugged in a max of 30 days ! unless u ve too much cash in ur wallet which u can blow up on watever u want whenever u want :)

tats not the case with me ... so 1st month i watched many movies,prison break etc etc ... played basket ball too ...
no one can get bugged playin ball.... so leave tat part out :)

now after the 1st 2 seasons of PB was over i was literally jobless at home..... tats wen i started bloggin ...lol..
here are some good parts of holidays
1)can sleep for 12 hours or more
2)can watch how many movies u want.... as long as u dont want to watch it in a theatre... coz each ticket will cost at least 120 bucks
3)play play play
4)go to as many gigs u want :) again as long as most of them are free

i cant think of anything else :(
so this will take up around 16-17 hours of the day but the remaining 7 hours are those which kill you ... sit in front of comp but for how long!!!
read novels but again for how long ! i cant read for more than 45 mins at one go....lol
and i dont think there is anything else u can do .... so just sit and ROT!

my parents ve bought text books for the next sem ... so tat only makes the situation worse :( obviously i wont study but ve to listen to parents shoutin every time

This gig was very different from the rest of the gigs that happen in bangalore...this one was for the fans of EXTREME metal... gore grind n stuff... the location was rotary club in frazer town which was right next to a church :)

the gig was supposed to start at 3 pm IST :) but as usual the drum kit was not at the venue when i reached there at 3:30... after a long wait of about 2 hours the drum kit arrived... was chillin out with the macabre intent guys till then who are also my friends....
first on stage was macabre intent...
started off with their own comp "mutilated beyond recognition" ... was a pretty decent own comp
next they played the legendary death metal band CC cover of "stripped raped n strangled"..... this cover was pretty good
rest of the setlist constisted of 2 more OCS and 2 more covers.... one of HAMMER SMASHED FACE by u know who and behemoth's "conquer all"
conquer all came out neat!

next on stage was shit assault.... no bassy :( said they didnt need one ....they played their version of grind called copro grind.... didnt like them much

then came on bloodsuckin freaks .... killer grind band!
played a lot of covers of "legendary bands" .... amazing drummer ... vox rocks... guitarist and bassy \m/

went out for sometime after bloodfreaks.....
when we came back in AA were on stage.... the band almost every one had been waitin for

FUCK!.... they were too fuckin good ... no words for them
played 4 own comps..... dont remember the names
and also a cover of "a skullfull of maggots " by CC again..... got the crowd moshing

after this it was time to go home :(
got DOTA on the way back frm a friend so m HAPPY!!!!

Story Of The Phone

sometime back i owned a moto l6i . but then i lost it in the hostel .... when i went to the police station to complain so that i could block the phone they asked me for a proof that i had lost the phone. I think they expected me to carry a photo of the person who had flicked the phone !!!!! PROOF i believe.... wat proof can someone have tat they lost the phone?...they could ve checked my pocket.... there was no hidden phone there.... ok so my first trip to a police station was pissin off and funny !

now, i informed my dad that i had lost the phone .... well ,he didnt say much over the phone but when i went home he started off "you ve become very careless, u don't have any value of money" n al that...
actually the fact is like dad like son ... just tat my dad has more luck on his side than me :)

here it goes:
situation 1:
dad returnin from delhi by flight.he happily drops the phone off on his seat in the flight and gets off the plane ... later the air hostess calls my mom frm dad's cell ... so my dad's name is announced in the air port and luckily he's stil there .so he picks up the phone.

even i had announced about my lost phone on the hostel mike but no one gave a rat's ass :)

situation 2 :
again the airport scene . but this time the phone drops off somewhere in the airport n not the plane
dad happily returns home and then realises that his phone is missing ...:)
he calls the airport authorities ... they had found a lost mobile and so luckily again my dad retains his mobile and has still not been proven careless ..lol

situation 3:
from airways to roadways
dad ridin his bike and the cell pops out of his jacket and is lying on the road. the only good thing was tat it was in our residential layout itself and not somewhere far off ... after half an hour my dad's sittin and havin tea . a call comes on my mom's cell ..."hello, we found a fallen mobile phone on the road , is it yours?" dad replies " no no , we have our phone here only" lol .
five minutes later call comes again askin the same thing ... this time my mom checks if the mobile is actually there and makes the discovery tat its missin .... so we ask the person callin to wait and then my dad collects his phone yet again !

now if i had so much luck i would ve found a iphone fallen on the road !
as they say 'luck favours the brave'
so, brave = people who drop their mobile in different locations :)

Three Mistakes of my Life

this is not about any mistakes tat i ve commited in my life.Any normal person would commit at least a hundred more mistakes than tat.... just a short review on the latest offerin by chetan bhagat. This was a much awaited , much hyped release by chetan bhagat of 5.som1(five point some1) :) fame .
i was sittin aaram se in my hostel room wen a guy came up and asked "macha u got 3 mistakes"....i was like "wtf is tat??"...
then i came 2 knw bout this book and after readin five point some1 m sure all of chetan bhagats releases will be a hit :) .so i decided to get my hands on it.

vacation time i come to blore and see tat the book has already reached the roadside book stalls.... so i picked it up frm one of the stalls for a mere 50 bucks... even the mrp aint tat high though.

comin back to the book.... its bout 3 useless jobless guys...one of them is always dreamin bout a bussiness.... one was a good cricket player and the third is a wannabe!

the whole book is too filmy... i guess the author had a film in mind wen he wrote this book....

the startin itself is a lil far fetched with gopal(bussiness man in story) writin a letter to chetan before attemptin suicide.... our man chetan tracks him down and then like a good ol bollywood movie the flashback starts!!!

none of the characters can be termed COOL in this book whereas in 5.som1 the characters were more likeable....
although this book will be a good motivation to all those nerds out there.... coz the main character gopal who is a maths tuition teacher   gets screwed in the book. :)

i wont reveal any more of the story coz it takes away the fun while readin :)
overall a filmy bollywood like offerin .... chetan bhagat's loyal fans will love it .... worth a read anyway but dont expect it to maintain the high standards set   by five point some1!!

Trip to Puducherry!

so finally we got a seat into an engineerin college .... yay!!
one semester done.... life started gettin buggin

every1 was gettin desparate to break out of the normal routine....the desperation was very high actually with people plannin to go to shimoga wen we got a holiday of a single day!!!

but all this crap was ignored easily and the topic was put off until a proper plan was presented :)

after a few days a plan came up about a branch trip .... how borin .... later even tat didnt work out so chemical and IT planned 2 merge together.... me being frm mechanical was smuggled in somehow..... now the trip was organised .... supposed 2 go on public holidays so there was no need to inform the lecturers .... everythin was goin on fine and then the girls interrupted

"why shouldn't we inform the lectures ?" was their question....
damn.... where the hell do they get these ideas frm!

so the girls were dumped :)
for good it turned out to be cause we would never have had so much fun with them..
now the money was collected frm every1... since chem and IT were goin together we expected at least 50 ppl to enroll ....but our expectations was very high.... and even the guys like pussies started droppin out.... so finally around 20 guys were ready to come....
now it was time to book transportation.... a mini bus supposedly 25 seater was booked....
since we had only 20 guys we thot we ll get some more guys in and an adverisement was sent out by the word of mouth :)

so it went on for 2 more days.... not goin into details.... finally 25 guys were ready and set 2 go 2 PONDY!

bus ready... luggage ready ... booze ready....everythin ready... the day finally arrived

got on to the bus .... realised tat it was a 19 seater.....:)
so there were 6 extra human luggage onboard :) me one of them i guess coz me neither frm chem not IT... royal mechies as we call ourselves.... don find anythin royal bout us though

kk no more details again ... bus engine ignited ... everythin fine.... initially the driver said "smokin illa " or some shit like tat.... but do v really give a damn bout wat he says :)... cigs ignited along with the engine and off we went!!!

THE JOURNEY
me was one of the unlucky few who arrived late to the bus with guitar football n all tat shit.... so no seat... kindly move forward to the driver's chamber :).... and i did so...
was pissed off initially .... our man nikhil had got in too many guys ..lol
but fuck it.... stayin in blore for so many years i ve learnt 'swalpa adjust madi' rule...
music cd's were passed on frm the back...MR HIMESH got onto the speakers.... my thoughts were like 'OH FUCK!'
but with so many north indians around they didnt want 'HALLA' music.... so my metal cd's had to rest in the bag....
traveled for only about 30 mins … frm somewhere out of the corner a voice came “start rolling da”  and then our journey began!

We stopped for dinner at a dhaba hopin tat it would satisfy our stomach and our pocket… the food was decent enough but lookin at the bill we were like “OH FUCK!”

After this it was a quite night … we had left at 9 pm if u wonderin how it was night already…
Other than the stuff it was a quite night …. Mysore rocks coz of its stuff!!! 

DAY 1
We arrived at pondy at around 8 in the morn I guess… managed 2 get about 3 hrs of proper sleep… still had a hangover due to the booze previous night….. every1 was outside takin pics at the puducherry entrance while the driver paid the taxes ….

Then started searchin for the youth hostel where we were supposed 2 stay…. After a search of bout 45 mins we finally found the place … and we were like “OH FUCK!” yet again…. This place had a sexy location jst next to the sea …. We could see the beach frm our room windows…. Fuck… it was jst amazing….
Got into the rooms…. Bathrooms and toilet clean …. Before we used them tat is….so every1 got ready within an hour and now we were lookin for places 2 go .

Decided to visit auroville first… but our stomach was demandin something 2 eat… but the driver… rascala didn’t stop at any hotels.. finally he stopped at a totally fucked up place with nothing around except a small café which was actually good and some grocery store… so every1 had to be satisfied with cigs and lays…the more POSH guys had something at the café … I was one of them  lol…. Walked a lil more and found a place which served good ol lemon rice…. Got it parceled and ate it on the bus….
Reached auroville… went around the place for about 2 hrs…. there was an amazing temple at this place… actually its supposed 2 be a place for meditation…. Anyone who visits pondy has 2 go to this place at auroville…

After auroville we decided 2 go to the best part of pondy … tat is the beaches!!!!!!

Every1 got into the water as soon as we reached the beach… football was into the sea and even the non swimmers like me joined in and had a lot of fun…. Tat too with bikini clad gals around 

I got out of the water in about an hour and then went for a small walk with another guy …. Had something 2 eat… and then we rolled on the beach… nice experience but kinda scary…. Were on a constant look out for trouble makers ….
My friend asked a group of foreigners if they minded takin a snap with us and their answer was “OH YES WE DO!!”… I jst ran frm there…. Didn’t even want 2 show my face….

After 2 hours we had something 2 eat yet again and then reached the French colony within 15 mins…. Every1 was free to do shopping and roam wherever they wanted…. I got a few useless stuff for my mom and sis…. Went and bought some booze and were back into our youth hostel at around 10 :30 pm for a night to remember!!!!!!!!

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER
as the heading suggests it was an entertainin and eventful night which u had to experience to enjoy it…. Cant be expressed in writin well … maybe a better writer will be able to do it better 

joints were prepared in advance…. Booze was also well arranged ….
The terrace was free and we made it our adda for the next 3-4 hours….. main character was MR VAMSI…. He was blown out after sometime and then the entertainment started…..

DAY 2
went 2 mahabalipuram…. Stopped at some temple …. Don remember the name…..
after tat went 2 the shore temple…. Took many pics over here…. And then onto the beach next to the temple….. into the water again and the usual proceedings of playin in the water et all…..
nothing eventfull happened after this……

we had our lunch at an awesome hotel… left at 8 or so to go back to our coll!!!!
Journey ws supposed 2 be of 11 hours…. Stopped on the way for dinner and then the last thing I remember is seeing the startin of ANNIYAN on the tv screen…. Fell asleep after tat to wake up next morning wen we had almost reached tumkur!

COLLEGE
Reached our college at 6 in the morning…. The journey took longer than expected as the driver was also drunk as I heard …. Classes frm 8 :O …. Reached our rooms and got ready …..
Not to go 2 classes but TO SLEEP 



Had an amazing time for these 2 days…. One of the best trips ever
